Larry has over two decades of impact across community development, affordable housing, and economic empowerment. Raised between Memphis and Des Moines, Larry’s early exposure to racial disparities and systemic challenges shaped a lifelong commitment to building equitable communities.
A graduate of Iowa State University’s School of Design and Drake University’s MPA program, Larry began his career managing HUD-subsidized housing and later led national affordable housing strategies with the largest Lenders and trade associations.
Larry is Founder and CEO of ClearBlu Group and Clear Urban Development, where he empowers communities of color through entrepreneurship, real estate, and capital access. His work blends purpose-driven coaching, lending innovation, and tech-enabled solutions to close wealth gaps and expand opportunity.
As an awarded fellow of the Amazon Housing Equity Accelerator Program, Larry is part of a national movement to grow diverse developers and meet the urgent demand for affordable housing. His approach is rooted in inclusive leadership, operational excellence, and a deep belief in the power of place.
